Did You Know...

Catholic Tradition

  • Of the 21 high schools serving the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, Lehman Catholic ranked at the top of all schools on the Assessment of Catholic Religious Education (ACRE).
  • Fifty-five boxes of animals and books were delivered to St. Alphonsus Catholic School in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. The donation was part of the “Books and Bears” project coordinated by Lehman students in response to Hurricane Katrina which devastated the Gulf Coast in 2005.
  • More than 96% of Lehman Catholic students participate in voluntary community service. Students helped to raise funds for organizations in Miami and Shelby counties which include: Relay for Life, local soup kitchens and Muscular Dystrophy. National organizations include: Saint Labre Indian School, Covenant House, Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, and the Athenaeum of Ohio.
  • Students also volunteered time serving meals at the local soup kitchens, tutoring and mentoring students in several local programs including Ohio Reads and Big Buddies, volunteering for Special Olympics, making blankets for the Linus Project, and a host of other good works.
  • School-wide liturgies are conducted on Holy Days and every Friday.
  • Communion services are held every day in the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Chapel.

Academic

  • Lehman Catholic is accredited by both the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
  • Of the 21 high schools serving the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, Lehman Catholic ranked in the top five on all standardized tests administered this past year, together with Ursuline Academy and Saint Xavier High School (schools that charge twice the amount of tuition as Lehman.)
  • The Class of 2008 was offered more than $2.8 million in college scholarships and grants.
  • Lehman Catholic’s Science Olympiad Team took top honors in the Northwest Ohio Regional Science Olympiad for the fourth consecutive year.
  • Over 65% of Lehman Catholic faculty members have Master’s Degrees or higher.

Fundraising

  • 2008-09 operating budget is $ 2,072,816
  • $503,303 or 24.3% of the annual budget must be funded by charitable giving each year
  • Stated tuition and fees approximately $6,195.
  • Over $6 million has been invested in campus facilities during the past decade, all of which have been funded by charitable giving
  • $2,896 net tuition “gap” per student that must be funded by charitable giving

Tuition Assistance

  • $300,000 allocated to 34% of the school’s population
  • Need-based tuition assistance in the form of scholarships allows for diversity in the student body and the opportunity for families who want their children to receive a Catholic education.
  • Thirteen families with students attending the school have income of less than twenty-five thousand dollars.
